Recent Cruise Trip: Celebrity Cruises – Western Caribbean itinerary from Miami, Florida

Best Port Ever: Santorini, Greece (ok, although I did not cruise to Santorini, I have been there and know that it would be great city to sail into)

Best Amenity Ever: Self-service laundry on Princess cruises, so you can pack fewer clothes and still wear clean clothes

Q: What is your favorite cruise so far?
A: 12-nights around the Black sea roundtrip from Athens (Piraeus), Greece on the Holland America’s Rotterdam. Not only was I able to travel to 9 cities in 6 countries for 12 nights, I also enjoyed the unique cultures in each of the locations, plus the Holland America cruise ship.

Q: Where do you wish you cruise to?
A: I wish to cruise to South America one of these days to experience the Latin culture and to eat their authentic food.

After working as a structural project engineer for almost 10 years, I decided to change my career, leaving my modest-sized cubicle to pursue my dream of owning a home-based travel business. My passion for travel started when I traveled to Asia and Europe on my own during college and when I experienced my first cruise to Canada & New England from Manhattan a couple of years later. I fell in love with the cruising experience and have been on 8 more cruises ever since. And now, I want to encourage people to get excited about traveling so they can see different parts of the world and immerse themselves in various cultural experiences, as I have done and will continue to do. I want to help people plan their vacations on a regular basis by giving them the best customer service they've ever had.

Traveling to me is exploring and learning the culture of the people, experiencing different foods and learning the history of the place.

After I graduated from college and started to work I had the means to travels. I visited my friend who was working in Germany and we traveled around Europe to different cities such as Venice and Milan, Italy; Paris, France; Frankfurt, Germany; Barcelona, Spain to name a few. It was a challenge and even a little nerve wrecking to figure out something as simple as how to order food and buy food at the groceries without offending anyone. Eventually I traveled further to Asia: Hong Kong, China; Bali and Jakarta, Indonesia; and Beijing and Shanghai, China. For some of these countries, English is not spoken by many people so it was more challenging. Traveling can be challenging and daunting if you don’t know where you are going but with some guidance traveling can be stress-free. I enjoy researching and sharing my travel experiences, which is the reason Helena and I wanted to start this new venture.

Helena introduced me to the world of cruising; she has been on some many cruises and shared her wonderful experiences with me that I had to see for myself. My first cruise was to Alaska. I was able to visit four (4) cities in Alaska: Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Anchorage. The cruise itineraries gave us enough time to experience the cities. The bonuses were the abundance of food on the cruise ship, including cuisines from the cities we visited and not having to haul our luggage from cities to cities.
